This is my personal opinions.

In term of trading, he earned RM20.

In term of investment, he lost 

-RM10

-Trading time

-Enjoyment in cat

So, if he just keep the cat, play with the cat,

but maybe still can earn RM30 at last.

This is just my opinions.

No right or wrong answer in this question.
